How Many Bosses Does Wanderburg Have?
Each Land in Wanderburg has four bosses, fought as a stronghold gauntlet. Beating all four completes that Land's objective and unlocks the next route; beating one, two or three is not enough to open the map.
Your castle ranks up as you destroy strongholds, which means the gauntlet is also your growth curve: the fourth boss is fought by a bigger, better-armed castle than the first.
Land progression
| Land | Bosses required | Opens | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Green Plains (1 star) | All four | Golden Dunes and Meadows | In-game objective |
| Golden Dunes | All four | Spiderburg vehicle + onward routes | In-game objective |
| Meadows | All four | The route toward Waving Fields | Community report |
| Later Lands | All four each | Further Lands and the Dark Tower | Community report |
Why the fourth boss feels unfair
- By the fourth fight your castle is large, so it turns more slowly and has less room to escape.
- Late bosses punish builds that spread upgrades across unrelated damage families.
- Keep Nitro and a movement module for the final stronghold rather than spending both early.
- An agile chassis and a mobility captain solve the failure more often than more damage does.

If your objective mentions towers rather than a stronghold, see Mortar Towers. If a quest target is not counting, it is usually a Harvester.

Four bosses per Land, fought as a stronghold gauntlet, with additional Lands on top of that.

The fourth boss of Golden Dunes completes the Golden Dunes objective, which is what unlocks Spiderburg.
