Mortar Towers (Mörsertürme): How to Kill Them
Mortar Towers — Mörsertürme in the German UI — are enemy structures that lob shells at you from a distance. They cannot be devoured; you destroy them with weapons. They are a quest target, not a module, and most of them appear during Overtime.
Players often confuse them with the Top Mortar module in their own arsenal. The two share a name and nothing else: the module is yours, the towers are hostile and part of the objective list.
How to fight a mortar tower
- Follow the shells back. The incoming arc points at the tower — drive toward the source instead of away from it.
- Close the distance. Mortar towers are far less dangerous at close range, where their arc cannot reach you.
- Stun or burst them. Community reports favour stun-heavy magic lines for shutting a tower down while you approach.
- Keep an escape open. Use Dash or Teleporter to leave if you get surrounded on the way in.
The 25-tower objective
| Objective | Reward | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Kill 25 mortar towers in one run | 1,000 Silver | In-game objective |
| Where they spawn | Mainly during Overtime, not the normal map phase | Community report |
