Sideshooters in Wanderburg: What They Are & How to Get Them
"Sideshooters" is the name players use for Wanderburg's side-mounted firing modules: Side Cannons, Side Ballista and the Side Flamethrower. They all mount on the castle's Side position and fire outwards from the flanks, so an enemy in front of you is never in their arc.
Because a module only fires toward the face it is mounted on, side modules are what punish enemies that try to circle you. That makes them the difference between a castle that shoots forward and a castle that keeps firing while it turns.

Why side coverage matters
- Weapons only fire toward their own face, so an uncovered Side position is a blind spot while you turn.
- Circular strafing keeps side weapons firing — community guides treat this as the core positioning skill.
- Side Cannons at level 10 are the unlock route to the Front Cannon, so levelling them pays twice.
- Two Side positions exist at once, which is why broadside builds can out-damage a single forward stack.
Are side modules worth it?
